DESCRIPTIONS HOW TO COME BY CAR OR BUS:
CAR FROM MALAGA AIRPORT
BUS FROM MALAGA AIRPORT
BUS FROM GRANADA AIRPORT
By car you can either take the coast road to Motril or to Granada.
The coast road is not a motor way and has a lot of bends but it is quite scenic with sea views.
The time difference depends on traffic but on a good day it is about the same as going to Granada on the motor way and then to the Alpujarras.
Malaga – Motril
Follow the coast road in direction Motril but before arriving to Motril you will pass a village called Salobreña where shortly after that there is turn off and a sign to Granada. Turn off the coast road and down onto a round about and take the road to Granada.
Keep look for the sign to Las Alpujarras or Orgiva on the right and it is just before a large dam.
you will see a small bridge that crosses a dry river bed, take this turn off and follow the windey road around the side of the mountain.
You will go through a small tunnel and then immediately after there is a turning to Orgiva on the left.
Go over the bridge and follow the road up into Orgiva.
Keep going until you leave the village crossing another bridge and look out for the sign to Trevelez on the right.
Take this turning and drive for about 20 minutes up until you come to a restaurant called
‘Los Llanos’ on the left. (opposite there is a Mongolian round tent with old things for sale outside.)
Drive on a few bends more and you will see a small church on the right hand side of the road called ‘Padre Eterno’.
Opposite this small church there is a forest road ‘camino forestal’.
Turn left on to this road and follow it up until you see the first sign to O.Sel.Ling on the right hand side. Take this dirt track up following the signs to O.Sel.Ling.
You will then arrive at the O.Sel.Ling carpark.
